Cello Scroll graft:Repairing a broken neck root
This job is too costly to do on student Cello's.
Top left shows new wood grafted on to the original scroll, top right the new wood contacts the sides of the pegbox wall and the bottom of the pegbox under the C peg. Above left shows the graft ready for fitting to the body leaving the neck root to be shaped after gluing and varnished to finish. Above right job done and varnish retouched .
