Top left image shows a double crack in a violin bow at the frog end. This is an old bow and the screw has worn the wood away making the frog loose. The repair requires fitting a bushing or new wood on the inside and the new wood will create a new nipple for the location of the button / screw. A new hole drilled back to standard for the screw will also stop the frog being too loose. Image on the right shows the repair complete plus new leather lapping and rehaired.
