Learning to play from the age of 9 years and growing up in a family of string players,
Gave way to a curiosity to know all things about string instruments. While working in mechanical engineering
For 26 years and making instruments simultaneously for 15 years as an amateur maker,
Jame gave up the day job to study violin making at Newark School of Violin Making.
Back then NSVM was the leading school in Europe with most of the students being foreign.
A three year course in making Violin, Viola and Cello. Instrument and bow repairs.

Makes Violins in the style of Antonius Stradiuarus, Guarneri del Gesu and Nicola Amati.
Handmade in the traditional method including the varnish which is fossil and gum resins in linseed oil.
