The bow grip which consists of the leather and silver lapping protects the bow stick
from wear. Especially from the thumb nail. If ignored the stick can become badly damaged
resulting in a costly repair. So it is well worth while to replace the leather lapping when
worn or if the silver lapping comes off the bow will be out of balance. As a further protection
you can fit an Abco bow grip. These are simple to fit, they come two in tube for €8.00
